We are
Mamaroneck,  and we say gay.

Our goal is to educate people on the legislation that challenges the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.

About the Project

In Florida, the House of Representatives passed the The Parental Rights in Education bill with a 22-17 vote. It has proceeded to Governor DeSantes' desk, who has officially passed the bill.  I hope that with enough support from the community we can make enough noise to be heard. We can be louder than the government that is trying to suppress us. Unity and pride are how we can play our part in stopping this trend of hate spreading across the United States.

Why Do We Care?

Although the legislature being discussed does not impact New York State directly, it is still crucial to our nation. The Parental Rights in Education Bill is currently setting a trend for several other Southern States. States such as Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, and Oklahoma are all considering anti-LGBTQIA+ legislature. The defense behind the actions being taken are supported by parents "taking back their children's education."
