Decades of  progress towards  equality at stake

The "Don't Say Gay" bill, more properly referred to as the Parental Rights in Education Bill, is detrimental to the LGBTQIA+ rights movement. It completely bans discussion of sexual orientation in kindergarten through third grade, and severely censors discussion in the grades following. The discussions can be deemed inappropriate on the basis of age and development. Beginning July 1st, school districts may be facing lawsuits from parents that fear the "exposure and influence" of LGBTQIA+ discussion in classrooms. This is just one specific piece of legislature that is impacting the community negatively. More and more laws like this one are being proposed across the country and it we need to stand against it!
